Nordics no longer part of Kloosterboer’s company strategy
Per 1 March 2021, Kloosterboer will be selling its subsidiary to NewCold. This decision marks a logical step in the company’s strategy of focusing on the construction and exploitation of its own assets in Western Europe.
With the Nordics no longer being a key development market for the group, the sale of Kloosterboer Sweden is a logical step following last year’s sale of Kloosterboer Norway.
According to Stephane Pluenet (Executive Director Automation at Kloosterboer), Kloosterboer is expanding rapidly at strategic locations as a result of customer requests where the group will offer them a full range of services as Integrated Supply Chain Partner. To support this vision, the company has built coldstores in Lelystad (NL), on the Maasvlakte (NL) and in Bayside (Canada) in the last two years. Furthermore, the construction of new coldstores in Rotterdam (NL), Arras (France) and Harnes (France) is currently underway.
