Next to the existing building a separate cold store is being build with a capacity of 25.000 pallet spaces. The expansion will be finished by the end of January 2019.

The reason for expanding is the increasing demand of customers for extra storage capacity of frozen products. In addition, the rotation of the number of pallets handled per day/week has rapidly increased. With 25.000 extra pallets, a large storage area with a constant ambient temperature of -18oC., 9 dock shelters for the receipt and loading of frozen goods and an extra dock shelter for automatic intake is Kloosterboer Delta Terminal able to prepare specific orders in time without loss of temperature. With the expansion the total storage capacity of Kloosterboer Delta Terminal will stand at approximately 100.000 pallets spaces.

As well as with other newly build projects has Kloosterboer the ambition to achieve the BREAAM Outstanding certificate.
