Thorsten Heitland succeeds Lüder Korff as managing director of Kloosterboer BLG Coldstore

Thorsten Heitland joined the management of Kloosterboer BLG Coldstore GmbH on April 1st, 2021. In the upcoming months, he will assume the duties of Lüder Korff, who will retire on July 31st, 2021 after 32 years at Kloosterboer BLG Coldstore, including its predecessor companies.

Thorsten Heitland, born in 1980, completed training in bank business management, followed by studies in industrial engineering in Bremerhaven where he graduated with a degree in industrial engineering. From 2006 he worked in various functions for STUTE-Verkehrs GmbH before moving to FRoSTA AG in 2010. There, in his most recent role as Head of Supply Chain Logistics for the development, management and monitoring of temperature-controlled logistics, he was responsible for the strategic development of supply chain management as well as capacity and resource planning of all FRoSTA AG locations in Germany.

Lüder Korff has been employed by Coldstore since 1989. In 2002 he took over the management. Prior to that, he worked as an operations manager and was responsible for sales management.

Lüder Korff is vice-chairman of the German cold store association (VDKL) and was chairman of the board of the European cold store association (ECSLA) for several years.
