Varekamp Coldstores makes a new start

Varekamp Coldstores, service provider in fresh produce logistics, is to resume business once again following a collaboration with Kloosterboer. The company will now operate under the name Varekamp Coldstores Holland bv. The change follows the recent declaration of bankruptcy of the Van Rijn Group, of which Varekamp Coldstores, located at the Agri Business Centre Westland in Poeldijk, belonged to.

Strategic strengthening
For Kloosterboer, a family run business with multiple cooling and cold stores in The Netherlands and abroad, the collaboration with Varekamp Coldstores forms part of a strategic development to strengthen its position within the fresh logistics market. "The quality and breadth of Varekamp’s service combined with its strong market position in the Netherlands within the world of fresh produce logistics adds strength to the collaboration of Kloosterboer and Varekamp" comments Jack Kloosterboer.

Strengthening of market position
On behalf of Varekamp Coldstores, Director William Nowee reports delight and excitement at this step forward with Kloosterboer and the fact that as a team, work can continue with suppliers, they can continue to serve their customers and further deepen and expand the service and relations built up with them. The company has full confidence in working together with Kloosterboer to further strengthen the market position.

New phase
A new phase is starting for Varekamp Coldstores, which positions itself as a neutral service provider in fresh logistics for third parties. "With our three core businesses, namely: cross-docking & warehousing (including all related services such as inventory, QC, order picking and sorting), packaging and transport, we can ensure our customers are able to anticipate all the needs of their recipients including those of retail organisations," comments William Nowee.
